Construction
We only use dry and seasoned timber to manufacture our furniture. All woods are kiln dried to 8-12% moisture content to prevent any cracking, warping or splitting. We also do the kiln dry the raw furniture, we kiln dry each item twice. We use traditional construction techniques such as:
- Solid wood or MDF Veneered for large surfaces of table tops
- Solid hand carved mahogany
- Deep drawer construction
- Solid hand cast brass
- Frame and floating panel construction to allow timber movement
- Hand cut dovetail joints
- Metal screws and large corner blocks to re-enforce and strengthen joinery on our chairs
- Traditional mortice and tenon frame construction
